To accomplish this, Facebook Engineer Lars Rasmussen admits many changes are being made to improve the services’ search functions.
Already, Facebook has introduced new options that help users search for people, places and things on the site. In the future, Facebook members may also be able to search the web directly from the typehead box on the social platform.
What’s more, Bing has taken another step to make its basic search efforts more social. The search engine introduced the ability to tag Facebook friends to specific searches, which the company says will help users share information with their social network.
With social media becoming a bigger part of organic search, you need to find ways to encourage your followers to feel comfortable in acting as brand ambassadors for your organization. While this level of rapport may develop over time, you can influence greater engagement by actively interacting with people through your own corporate profiles.
